• Maximum Age: 25 years
• Age Relaxation:

Educational Qualification

1. General Duty (GD)

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
• Must have studied Physics and Mathematics up to 12th standard.

2. Technical (Mechanical)

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Production, etc. with 60% marks.
• Must have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

3. Technical (Electrical/Electronics)

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Power Engineering, etc. with 60% marks.
• Physics and Math compulsory in 10+2.

Selection Process – 5 Stage Procedure

1. Stage I: CGCAT Exam (Computer Based Test)
   • 100 Objective Questions
   • 4 marks for each correct answer
   • 1 negative mark for each incorrect answer
   • Duration: 2 hours
2. Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
   • Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT)
   • Mental Ability Test
3. Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB)
   • Psychological Tests
   • Group Tasks
   • Personal Interview
4. Stage IV: Medical Examination
   • Conducted at Base Hospital, New Delhi
5. Stage V: Training
   • Assistant Commandants will undergo training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala
